A Pandemic Panacea: This Land by Woody Guthrie

As we slowly emerge from a year of radio silence, we hope you are all well. We have been missing not only our families and friends but also our colleagues in the events business and all the musicians, singers and audio engineers who have become our beloved musical family. We hope to be safely reunited with all of you very, very soon. Meanwhile, we are so thankful to have worked on a few “pandemic-safe” projects during these difficult times.

We had the privilege of arranging Woody Guthrie’s classic for today’s world to honor the Bloomberg Fellows at the 2020 Bloomberg American Health Summit. We were asked to produce (from afar) a group of musicians that represent the depth and breadth of this land. So, “from the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters,” CLICK TO VIEW in order of appearance:
Kelsee Vandervall (cello), Jose “Pepe” Jimenez (percussion), Andrea Young (violin), Nima Rezai (Chapman Stick), Rika (violin), David Hamburger (lap steel), Rob Barics (tenor sax), Vaneese Thomas (vocalist), Terangi “Te” Benioni (Hawaiian log and skin drums), Dwayne Dopsie (accordion), and featuring spoken word by Kondwani Russell.

This Land Is Your Land by Woody Guthrie
Arranged & produced by Paul Guzzone
