The year started at high speed with the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The world music piece created by our composer-producer Paul Guzzone featured an Australian didgeridoo played by a cowboy in a kilt from Bakersfield (seriously). Nothing like a loud unearthly drone to make techies look up from their devices!
On to Detroit where Paul’s music helped re-introduce the iconic American Corvette. This time our soloist was a “Derry Boy” (as in, Ireland) – the awesome guitar-slinger Paul McGilloway.
Soon, it was April showers time, so we set off a human rainstorm at the top of the Madarin Oriental Hotel for The Weather Channel with the help of Choral Chameleon.
Along the way, Paul worked with the hipster band They Might Be Giants for IBM Connect. Later, he music directed the amazing young talent at the YMCA General Assembly with the help of some A-List New York musicians. Here and there, he was bandleader and onstage sidekick for corporate executives from Tokyo to Texas.
